Fr. John Tigatiga SDS, Director of the Mission Office for the Salvatorian USA Province, will be at Masses this weekend as part of our Missionary Cooperation Appeal. The Salvatorians are a society of priests and brothers serving the church in 30 countries throughout the world. They serve in 5 African countries. Fr. John Tigatiga's focus is to serve our missions in Tanzania.
Salvatorians have served in Tanzania for over 55 years. Today, Salvatorians are serving in parishes, schools, farms, hospitals, and in the formation of priests and lay ministers. They mostly serve in Southern Tanzania, which is the poorest area in the country.
