Bishop Ricken has requested that churches remain open for at least 2-3 hours daily and on the weekends, so that the faithful may pray privately before the Blessed Sacrament present in the tabernacle.
After consulting with the staff and talking about the following challenges, we came up with the following solution.
Challenges: Meeting the requirement of having less than 10 people in church. Disinfecting part of church in the hope we don't miss anything. Security issues, because the entrance is not visible from the parish office. Promoting social distancing and the spread of the virus. Wanting it to be as safe as possible.
Beginning Friday at 9AM there is a tabernacle in the side entrance at St. Peters, visible to the parking lot 24/7.
Please stay in your car and/or practice social distancing. We will also be offering exposition of the Blessed Sacrament through those glass doors from 3PM - 6PM. If you come at 3:00 PM feel free to tune into Relevant Radio (1050 AM) for the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
