Governor Evers released several Executive Orders on Thursday, one declaring a Public Health Emergency and another issuing an Emergency Order.
The Emergency Order requires individuals to wear face coverings when indoors and not in a private residence (with some exceptions as defined in the order).
Face coverings are now required for anyone (age 5 and older) who attends Mass beginning this weekend - per the Governor's Order.
A high majority of our parishioners already wearing masks out of Christian charity and care for one another even before this mandate. As always we will have masks available for those attending Mass.
Communion Services are also offered after the 8:30AM Mass. The Communion Services lasts about 5 minutes and may be a more comfortable option for those who are unable or unwilling to wear a mask for the full length of a Mass.
Q: What do I do if I see someone not wearing a mask, even though they should be?
A: Nothing. Some people have conditions or circumstances that would make wearing a cloth face covering difficult or dangerous. Wear your mask, maintain six feet of distancing, and be as kind, welcoming, and hospitable as the current circumstances allow.
