We now have a tremendous opportunity to come together to ensure our faith and important ministries remain vibrant for generations to come.
Through the campaign we will raise $8.5 million in new funds, to go along with the $1.5 million raised in 2014. These funds will be used to adapt the current Lourdes Academy building at Witzel & Sawyer to make room for the Elementary School students to move from their crowded current home at the St. Vincent site and join our Middle School and High School families on one main campus. This will provide much needed space to grow and will create a stronger sense of community, which we hope will keep our students in Catholic education all the way through High School.
I am excited to share our progress from early gifts to our campaign. So far, we have raised over $6.3 million from 158 families, which is 75% of our campaign goal! I am very hopeful that our parish will join in the campaign success during the next few months.
The active fundraising phase of our one by One campaign begins today and will continue over the next few months.
Over the course of the next week, if you have not already done so, you will receive a invitation to support the campaign in the mail. Please take a moment to review the materials and pray on what you are being asked to consider. You will hear more about the one by One campaign in the coming weeks. For now, I would like to personally ask you to do four things to ensure our campaign’s success:
The one by One campaign is a tremendous opportunity for each of us to more fully participate in our call to grow our parish, strengthen our school, Lourdes Academy, and broaden our reach as a community of faith.
In the coming weeks I will continue to keep you updated on our progress and ways that you can stay engaged with this very important initiative. As a community entering into our one by One campaign, each week we will be praying the campaign prayer. Now, for the success of the campaign, I invite you to join me in praying the prayer found in your worship aid…
