The weekends of April 26-27 and May 3-4, we will have members of the pastoral parish council speak at the beginning of Mass to invite you to nominate either yourself or someone else for the parish pastoral council. We currently have two openings. One is a member at large, which means it is not connected to a team. One is a representative of the Liturgy and Encounter team.
Learn more about the Parish Pastoral Council. The parish pastoral council is a group of prayerful leaders who advise me on the pastoral priorities of the parish community, help to communicate my vision, and work with the mission teams of the parish. If you know a disciple who is a deeply prayerful and insightful person, a man or woman of vision or who is ideas focused, someone who is a problem solver and can be relied upon to get the job done, or just someone who is enthusiastic about the parish’s future, you will be invited to write down their name and put it into the collection basket. Those individuals will be invited to a day of prayer and discernment to see who the Holy Spirit is calling to this important ministry of leadership.
You might have recognized this process from previous years. I know some people might be nervous about putting someone else’s name in the basket. I invite the nominees to be open to the Holy Spirit and in the end, they do have the option of saying no.
There will be pencils and papers in the pews to print their full name and place them in the collection baskets.
The commitment involves the following:
3-year term,
meeting once a month, and i
f you are a representative of a team, you would also meet with your team.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the parish office at (920) 231-9782.
Thank you for helping me call forth leaders from our parish to help us carry out our mission of living the Gospel, encountering Jesus in the Eucharist, and bringing others to Christ. - Fr. Jerry
