Dear Eucharistic Adoration Adorers and Parishioners,
Now that COVID restrictions are loosening up, we are excited to announce the next phase in giving you prayerful access for personal time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Phase 1
You may remember that our first step in the early days of COVID was to move a tabernacle to the east side breezeway of the Saint Peter site so people could stop and pray while in their cars. The tabernacle has been in the breezeway since with the exception of it being temporarily moved during weekend Masses.
Phase 2
Several months ago, the Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel at the Saint Mary site was moved to the lower level of the church and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament ensued between the hours of 1PM-6PM Sunday through Friday. This gave people the option to visit Jesus in the tabernacle at the Saint Peter site or visit Jesus, exposed in the monstrance, during the hours mentioned above.
Phase 3
Here are the details for phase three which will go into effect on June 7th:
The tabernacle will be moved out of the breezeway at the Saint Peter site and "parking lot prayer" will be discontinued.
The hours of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the lower level of Saint Mary will remain the same: 1PM-6PM Sunday through Friday.
The former adoration chapel area at Saint Mary will become a prayer chapel open all other hours of the week other than the hours of exposition listed in #2 above. Jesus will be present in the tabernacle during these hours.
Anyone wishing to come to the prayer chapel to pray will need to acquire the door security code to enter. Please call the MBS office (920-231-9782) to request this number as it cannot be printed here to maintain security. Please do not give this prayer code to anyone as it would compromise the security of those who are praying and the church building.
There will be four chairs set up in the prayer chapel. This is the maximum allowed to safely use that area. Please do not bring additional chairs into the chapel.
Jesus will be moved from the tabernacle in the chapel to the monstrance at 1PM and returned to the tabernacle at 6PM on the days listed above.
Although it is encouraged to use the lower level to pray during the hours of 1PM-6PM, a person is welcome to use the prayer chapel during these hours if he/she is more comfortable.
We realize the restricted hours of 1PM-6PM do not meet the needs of many people who would like to come and pray. It is our hope that this next step will allow many more people to take advantage of this beautiful prayer opportunity that will be available any time during the day or night.
