Father Jerry and the Parish Trustees invite you to join us for our AnnualParish meeting on November 29 at 6:30PM in the St. Peter Church. The meeting will also be live-streamed to our parish YouTube Channel for those who cannot attend in person.
The annual meeting will be an opportunity for all our parishioners to hear the updates on our parish mission plan, roadmap, and financial outlook for the coming year. Find the documents for the parish annual meeting here: https://mbsoshkosh.com/events/parish-annual-meeting
Parish Council
Our new parish council will be meeting on December 2 to begin their discussion of the parish mission plan and roadmap, and start planning for 2022. The Pastoral Council assists the pastor and staff to implement the mission statement, establish goals that witness to Gospel values and develop the parish as a community of faith.
The role of council is to develop, assure adequate resources and maintain the parish strategic plan through implementation of the diocesan Parish Mission Planning Process and regular evaluation of progress against the strategic initiatives in the plan. Each council member is assigned to co-lead, with the appropriate staff person, a strategic initiative identified in the strategic plan.
John Morelli has agreed to serve as the Chairperson for the council. The new council charter calls this a "working council" with members who are active in one of the main focus areas of our current parish mission plan: Evangelization & Discipleship, Parish Operations, Parish Outreach, and Liturgy & Encounter.
Those who are intersted in participating in the Parish Council are encouraged to reach out to the parish staff member leading each of the focus areas. Participating in the Parish Annual Meeting will also help give you a sense of the coming goals and previous year's accomplishments for each of those areas:
Parish Council minutes will be posted to the parish website after each meeting has concluded.
Buildings & Grounds Committee
Our parish buildings & grounds committee has begun a walk through of all our properties with the goal of making a capital project list that they will then help the parish prioritize. Anyone with experience and/or interest in facilities & properties is welcome to contact Finance Council Chair Dave Lelinksi for more information about how you can help the Buildings & Grounds Committee.
