September 25, 2020: Increasing COVID Cases

Thursday afternoon (September 24), the Winnebago County Health Department issued an update detailing the critical rate of spread of COVID in our community right now. Currently, the Oshkosh- Neenah area is #1 in the country where cases are rising the fastest. We want to urge you to use caution and good judgment when leaving home in the coming days, including coming to Mass.

Bishop’s recent decree reminded us that individuals who “in their well-formed consciences believe that going into public places – including Sunday worship at Mass – would place their health or the health of their loved ones in serious jeopardy” are not bound by the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. That may apply to you or your family at this time.

While we will have our regular Masses this weekend, please use good judgment in deciding whether to come. Please err on the side of safety.
