The sacrament of Reconciliation (also known as confession) is the act of honestly confessing our sins to a priest and receiving forgiveness through God’s mercy which Christ won for us on the cross. Though a priest verbally forgives our sins, he is acting as an intermediary and we believe only God can forgive our sins.
Reconciliation is important because it reconciles and restores us to God’s grace and friendship. It heals brokenness and renews our relationships within our Church, home and community.
All baptized Catholics may receive the sacrament of Reconciliation. It is especially necessary for those who have committed serious sin to be reconciled prior to receiving the Holy Eucharist.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated in the confessional in the side chapel at St. Peter. Enter through the doors off the parking lot and follow the signs (up the stairs to thel eft).
The confessional will be set up so that you and Father are 6 feet apart at all times whether behind the screen or face to face. Sanitation procedures will also be followed. Please wear a mask.
